Allatoona Weekly Crappie Fishing Report: It is a week before Thanksgiving and we are thankful for great Crappie fishing on Lake Allatoona! We had a pretty good week overall but we are still waiting for the troll bite to produce. The lake is dropping but the temperatures have not dropped low enough to get the crappie fired up and schooling to the extent we are waiting for. The crappie are starting to move and are anywhere from 8' to 20' of water. Some are suspended around 6', some are glued to brush at 12' and some are schooling in 20' of water suspended at 10'-12'. Lots single and double roaming fish. It's a mixed bag to say the least but we are starting to see some good activity as we start heading into December. We trolled a bit during the first part of the week and got a few takers. The majority of our fish were caught casting when we see them on front facing sonar. They are pretty active and very aggressive when caught! We had several crappie over 12"! Hopefully this report will help you the next time you are crappie fishing on Lake Allatoona. Lord willing we will have another great report next week!
