We are in mid-April and the crappie are exactly where they should be this time of year and it doesn't matter if you are on a boat or on the bank you can catch 'em with a bobber and a minnow or bobber and a jig in shallow cuts around docks or any type of structure.

It is hard to believe that we are in the first week of April 2026 but here we are! Long line trolling for crappie is in the rear view for thisyear and we are moving into spawing time for Crappie, Bluegill and Shellcracker.
