Allatoona Weekly Crappie Fishing Report: Several creeks are still experiencing turnover so the water is murky in the turnover areas which can be a challenge to fish. This past week we had a cold front so fishing was negatively affected so the catch ratios were down for this report. We also had a full moon so that didn't help either! We got out on Thursday and found some crappie in the mouth of Little River...all stuck to the bottom of the creek! We only managed 3 keepers but had a total of 18 small fish...some very small. There are lots of shad everywhere and hybrids are roaming and can be caught on crappie jigs as well. There were some good sized crappie caught the last part of the week but still spooky so you have to be 35-50 feet away to catch em. We are not far from the December troll bite kicking in and we are ready for it to start! Get your trolling bars and trolling rods/reels ready to go because once it starts it will be on fire!

Make sure to download the Red Rooster Long Line Trolling Guide for tips on how to troll for Allatoona Crappie.

Hopefully this report will help you the next time you are crappie fishing on Lake Allatoona. Lord willing we will have another great report next week!
